Padmaja’s deep passion for floriculture was always evident from the beautiful and rare flowers that she cultivated in her personal gardens. It was her keen interest in designing that led to exploration of new frontiers in designing flowers. Her experiments with textures, colors and rare combinations of flowers and greens resulted in elegant and unique floral designs that have helped carve a niche for her in Bangalore floristry.

Padmaja Kamisetty, the owner of Ohana fine flowers, has been cultivating and designing flowers for over two decades now. She is a graduate in agriculture sciences from India and a postgraduate in agribusiness from USA. While in the US for over a decade, she took keen interest in floriculture, which exposed her to some of the finest flower shows – Hardy plant shows in Hillsboro, Iris gardens, gardens in England, Ireland and Buchart Gardens in Canada. 

When Padmaja returned to India, she continued her fascination with flowers by cultivating some of the most exotic flowers and foliage in her personal gardens. An opportunity to own Ohana saw the fulfilling of her dream and her energetic, alive and sophisticated flower arrangements quickly found a loyal base in Bangalore that continues to grow with every passing year. 

Her innate understanding of floral designs, special training from Yasuko Kawabe in the European style of flower arrangement and a deep understanding of local sensibilities has led to the creation of a beautiful blend of exclusive flowers styled in the most refreshing fashion. 

She continues to derive inspiration from her extensive travel around the world that keeps her abreast with latest international trends and creates fabulous, elegant and unique designs and flower arrangements for her discerning clients.
